About this tool
Bold and italic generators are some of the most-searched text tools in India because chat apps and social platforms still don't offer rich formatting in most fields. Adding a bold name in your Instagram bio, an italic tagline on your X profile, or a double-struck title on your WhatsApp status takes one paste.
Behind the scenes, this tool converts each Latin letter to its Unicode mathematical or stylistic equivalent. Bold A becomesU+1D400, italic a becomesU+1D44E, and so on. Because these are official Unicode code points, the output is portable and renders the same on iOS, Android, and most desktop browsers.
Frequently asked
How does this work without installing fonts?
These are real Unicode characters, not images or custom fonts. Most apps render them automatically because they ship with the system font.
Will the bold text show on Instagram, WhatsApp, and LinkedIn?
Yes. Bold, italic, sans, mono, fraktur, and double-struck render on Instagram bios, WhatsApp messages, LinkedIn posts, X (Twitter), Facebook, and most chat apps. Some apps render fancy styles like script slightly differently.
Why are some letters in my text not styled?
Unicode bold and italic blocks only cover Latin letters and digits. Punctuation, accents, and other scripts stay as they are. That is normal and expected.
Is this safe to use on a resume or in a serious document?
Yes for chat and social media, but be careful elsewhere. Some screen readers and ATS systems read Unicode-styled letters character by character, which can hurt resume parsing. For Word and Google Docs, use the built-in Bold button instead.
Does this work in Hindi, Tamil, or other Indian scripts?
Unicode bold and italic blocks are defined for Latin only, so Devanagari, Tamil, Telugu, and other Indic scripts cannot be styled this way. They will appear unchanged.
Is anything saved or sent anywhere?
No. The whole tool runs in your browser. Your text never leaves your device.
